The Geek Vision

Hii Guys!!!! I am Avinash Today I am here before you with a most sophisticated topic of Indian economy. Today Indian youth is in a different phase because of our society craze and our parents pressure to grab more and more degrees and to get a govt job.

So this is so catastrophic for our country and for us, so let's talk about some reasons and their causes and some solutions too about this problem -

1. Most of Indian youth Wants a Government job :

Because our Indian society gives more honor and prestige to a govt employee and there are more comfort and little pressure in govt jobs, every Indian youth wants to get a government job. Most of Indian youth doesn't want to give their efforts to grab a private job because of our society's mentality they think that there is not any security in private jobs and they have to do hard work in private sector.
And right now Indian govt failed to create much jobs to provide as much govt employment as the youth is hoping for.

Data from the successive rounds of nationally representative youth surveys conducted by the Lokniti research programme at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) shows that the attraction of a sarkari naukri (government job) has not shown any signs of declining over the past decade. In fact, the share of youth who prefer a government job has grown slightly to 65% in 2016.

The share of youth who prefer a private job has nearly halved to 7% between the two rounds of the survey conducted in 2007 and 2016. The share of those wanting to start their own enterprises has risen marginally to 19% over the same period.

The 2007 and 2016 surveys covered 5,513 and 6,122 individuals, respectively. We compare the responses of individuals in the age group of 15-34 years.

Rural and urban youth hardly differ when it comes to job preferences. But the share of youth in big cities who prefer a government job shows a sharp increase between 2007 and 2016.

2. A Huge Part of Youth is Busy in Studying or Training :

I don't know in India what are we doing. A large part of our life we spent in studying only, till  the age of 30 we are busy in completing our P.hd and many more things. we are not focusing on our skills, only we are doing is study.

Let me put a survey here before you -

Over 30% of youth aged 15-29 in India are not in employment, education or training (NEETs). This is more than double the OECD average and almost three times that of China.

NEET is a relatively new concept.

According to the OECD, youth inactivity presents the share of young people (age 15-29) not in employment, education or training (NEET) as a percentage of the total number of young people in the corresponding age group.

3. India's socio-cultural norms add further complexity :

34% of the surveyed youth report that discriminatory and personal biases related to their marital status, gender, age or family background are a major barrier when looking for a job. 82% of female respondents said their ideal employment would be full-time, disproving the stereotype that women prefer part-time jobs. Similarly, despite the persistent view that household work and unpaid work are suitable and desirable for women, only 1% of surveyed female youth report this as being a desirable option for them.

# Causes :-

  • Our Society Thinking.
  • Our Expectations.
  • Being choosy with career and jobs.
  • Focusing less on skills and practical.
  • Wasting a huge time in studying.
  • We are not hard-working.

# Solutions :-

  • Focusing on our dreams.
  • Taking every step of life as a challenge.
  • We should do expertise in our stream.
  • Should get more practical knowledge than theoretical.
  • Should get more skills.
  • Make your own way.
So that's it guys, thanks for reading.
