The Geek Vision

O

1. Wordpress:-

WordPress started in 2003 with a single bit of code to enhance the typography of everyday writing and with fewer users than you can count on your fingers and toes. Since then it has grown to be the largest self-hosted blogging tool in the world, used on millions of sites and seen by tens of millions of people every day.
How hot is WordPress? Well, 1 in 6 websites in the world run on it, making it the most popular blogging platform. In addition to being a great free publishing tool and SEO, content management system (CMS), WordPress works for everyone from amateur bloggers to large-scale businesses primarily because it offers a vast array of paid and free custom themes and plugins. This makes WordPress highly flexible, scalable, user friendly, and search engine optimized. In my opinion, WordPress is the best blogging software available.

Why You Should Buy Hosting on Wordpress :-

If you want to be taken seriously as a blogger and have the potential to earn a part or full-time income blogging, and want to make money and want to be a professional blogger starting a self-hosted WordPress blog is the way to go, and that requires making a small investment in hosting. Fortunately, I’ve personally negotiated a special 25$ off discount with DreamHost , you will not get this offer on their professional website you can get it only here. so From here your hosting costs can be as low and you get a free domain too.

Pros:-

- Simplicity: Simplicity makes it possible for you to get online and get publishing, quickly. Nothing should get in the way of you getting your website up and your content out there.

- Built-in Comments: Your blog is your home, and comments provide a space for your friends and followers to engage with your content.

- Flexibility: You can make your website beautiful with themes, and extend it with plugins. You can even build your very own application. You can run anything on WordPress, ranging from a mommy or food blog to an e-commerce store selling products, gifts or jewelry.

- Price: The WordPress software is free and you only pay server and domain costs.

- Reliability: WordPress has a team constantly updating its software and security.

- Variety and Customization: WordPress is open-source, therefore encouraging developers to build thousands of custom themes and plugins.

Cons:

- Hosting: To get the most out of WordPress and its features, you must host it on your server. This adds domain and hosting costs,

- Coding: Sometimes customization demands a little coding, although you can have a beautiful WordPress site right out of the box. After all, WP does have over 3,000 designs to choose from.

2. Blogger.com:-

Blogger was started by a tiny company in San Francisco called Pyra Labs in August of 1999. This was in the midst of the dot-com boom.
One of the best blogging platforms, Blogger was formerly known as BlogSpot. This Google-owned service is most popular among casual bloggers. Blogger is best-known for its instant setup and easy-to-use system.

Pros:-

Stability: Blogger.com has been around long enough that it is very stable, especially with Google’s support.

- Monetization: Making money via Google AdSense is easy with to simple integration.

- Simplicity: It is a very simple platform to understand, even for beginners with no experience.

Cons:

- No Customization- If you want to customize your blog then you need to code.

- Lack of Style: Themes and designs on Blogger are limited, and there are no plugins like wordpress.

- Lack of Support: There is little community support on Blogger compare to WordPress.

3. Tumblr.com:-

Tumblr is known for informal micro-blogging, a form of blogging that is longer than a Tweet but not as long or professional as a full-blown article or post. Here you can share content that is mostly visual: pictures, videos and links.

Pros:

- Micro-blogging fusion of Twitter and full-fledged blog
- Simple interface and easy to get started
- Easy To Start and Post
- Multiple Blog Management
- Themes Options
- Mobile Friendly

Cons:

- Not Optimized For Text or Writing
- Lack of Security
- Devalued Content
- Owned by Yahoo, ads might be on their way
- Not good for long article blogging

Tumblr is best suited for:

- Young bloggers
- Micro-bloggers

- Image and short-text centered writers or bloggers.
